“The fancy dance is a celebration of each other, and a celebration of life. The one thing I always heard was: we dance for those who can't. Your ancestors, your babies, the elders, the ones who can't dance for themselves. When I was young I did women's traditional, which is a different kind of dance, but it's the happiest I think I've been.”
