“As you can see, in our world today, there is almost no longer any way of transmitting knowledge from elders to young people. Initiations in the bush, the night vigils during which elders initiate young people into adult life by transmitting ancestral knowledge to them, have practically disappeared.”

“China is a large country. So opening this corridor to China is something that will strengthen our economy. This Belt and Road project is a strategic project that benefits everyone because it allows for interconnection in the security, political, and economic spheres. These three components are closely linked. So, we believe that with this project, the future will be bright for Chad and for Africa as a whole.”

“Already, here in N'Djamena, you see the Palace of Arts and Culture (January 15 Palace), you see the Chad-China Friendship Hospital, which is one of the first projects. And this cooperation was boosted in 2007. It has been strengthened. It affects all areas, especially strategic areas. So this is to tell you that it is a multifaceted partnership that has produced tangible results.”
