Lucy Bella Earl

“(...) Lucy explains the importance of understanding the YouTube algorithm: ‘Focus on what the algorithm wants; what the audience wants in order to make them stick around, and lastly what you want. You’ll burn out if you don’t.’”

“As the panel ended, Lucy added that there are three types of content that creators will make: videos to please the algorithm, videos to please your audience, and videos to please yourself. “That’s my happy medium, and it helps avoid burnout.””

“Lucy said that the relationship with her audience differs from that of a typical vlogger: “With educational content, I don’t feel like I get to know my viewers as well as I would if I vlogged my life. Though I do schedule in time now to properly read comments and respond to people.””
