“My husband has been involved in politics for a long time. He held senior positions, and after his election, he was given more important responsibilities, becoming responsible for an entire country. Knowing and confident in his qualities, I remain convinced that he is capable of assuming the responsibility that is his, even though this mission requires the combined efforts of everyone.”

“Djiboutian women are full partners of men in all phases of the country's development. They are present as ministers, directors, teachers, engineers, doctors, and in the highest positions of various organizations.”

“In Djibouti, women bear the greatest responsibility and represent the backbone of the family, and therefore play a major and influential role in the cohesion of Djiboutian society. Women are the main guiding force in society and are the source of all changes in the evolution of a society.”

“At the time, schools were few in number. And despite the conservative nature of society, great interest was placed on the education and teaching of girls. It was this period that largely shaped my personality and later encouraged me to take a particular interest in education, which I consider to be a weapon of choice for preserving the achievements gained in our lives and in those of our people.”

“Like all Djiboutian girls, I grew up in a conservative family, committed to preserving its traditions and proud of its values. I grew up within my family before joining the Catholic Sisters' School, an establishment reserved for girls.”
